Our Culture
At Woodside it is our mission to enable young people with an Autism spectrum condition to independently contribute to society; embrace life long learning and achieve without a ceiling.
To ensure this happens, we insist on putting the child at the heart of every decision. From the moment we welcome a student into our school, we commit to ensuring they have access to an environment suitable for their individual manifestations of autism and that they feel welcomed, safe and that they belong to this inclusive community, within a therapeutic environment.
With this foundation in place, our expert practitioners can collaboratively support and develop each child in line with their EHCP outcomes and use our pioneering tools to provide access to a rich and varied curriculum that will lead to success in line with each individual's pathway. Our students are thoroughly prepared for their future, whatever it might look like, through the delivery of engaging sessions that are crafted to explore the relevance of each piece of knowledge and its application beyond the classroom walls.
By embracing our school Values of going 'Above and beyond', 'Understand Autism', 'TakeOwnership', using their 'Initiative', showing 'Stickability' and 'Making memories' ourstudents add value to the school community and the wider community around them, inactive pursuit of our vision of making AUTISM everyone's first language.
