  • At Woodside Group schools, our term times are carefully coordinated to align with local Local Authority timescales, ensuring a harmonious schedule for our students and their families. To further support consistency across our bases, all Woodside Group schools observe inset days on the same dates.

  • At Woodside Group, every day is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired! Our day kicks off by meeting our key student, ensuring they feel supported and ready for the day ahead. From 9am to 3:10pm, our dedicated staff engages with students in small groups and one-on-one sessions, tailoring learning experiences to meet their unique needs. Each session brings new faces and fresh perspectives, as we work with different students throughout the day. As the school day wraps up, we accompany our key student to their transport, reflecting on the day's achievements and looking forward to tomorrow's possibilities

  • At Woodside Group, we believe that a passion for education and a commitment to student growth can come from various pathways. While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for certain roles, such as teaching core subjects like English and Maths, it's not always a requirement for every position within our team. We recognise the valuable contributions of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and recent graduates who bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to our learning environment. For many, joining Woodside can be a stepping stone to a fulfilling career in education, with opportunities to advance into non-qualified teacher roles. We are dedicated to nurturing talent and providing pathways for career growth, ensuring all our staff can make a meaningful impact on our students' lives.

  • We are committed to the growth and development of our team members. Our structured training initiatives are tailored to support your personal and professional growth, ensuring you are well-equipped to reach your career goals. Additionally, we always look to help with internal promotions, actively seeking to elevate dedicated team members into leadership roles.

  • Student numbers vary by county, as each school's capacity is tailored to its specific site and student cohort needs. This ensures an optimal learning environment for all.

  • Our staff induction process is a comprehensive four-week program designed to ensure new team members seamlessly integrate into our company culture and operations. During the first week, new staff will participate in an orientation session to familiarise themselves with our mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. Weeks two and three focus on role-specific training, where employees will work closely with their new colleagues to understand their responsibilities and begin hands-on tasks with students. The final week is dedicated to feedback and reflection, allowing new staff to address any questions and set goals for their future within the company.

For leadership roles, the induction process may vary in length to include additional leadership training and strategic planning sessions, ensuring our leaders are fully equipped to guide and support their teams effectively.

  • At Woodside Group, we prioritise staff wellbeing by offering a comprehensive support system designed to address both physical and mental health needs.
